Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother
Canton - Lucille Stepp Williams, 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her daughters.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late George and Elsie Inman Stepp. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Earl Williams, who died in 2008; daughter, Debra Kay; son, Butch; grandson, Cameron; two sisters, Mary and Thelma; and two brothers; James and David. Lucille loved working jigsaw puzzles, growing flowers and sitting on her porch enjoying nature.
She is survived by five daughters, Mary Ann Gibson and her husband, David, of Waynesville; Betty Gaddis of Canton , Earlene Millington, Sandy Jones and her husband, Joe, of Maggie Valley and Patty Webb and her husband, Steve, of Maggie Valley; a sister, Ruth Jones of Hazelwood; ten grandchildren, Brandon Gaddis, Christa and Jacob Suttles, Cassie Crider, Halee Crider, Nathaniel Webb, Sharon Turner, Michael Gibson, Jason Gibson, Chris Jones and Katelyn Blake; and six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Natalie, Sawyer, Cody, McKenna and Weston.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Revord and Reverend Ricky Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Gwyn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
