Lucille Wines

Lucille Warren Wines, age 92, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Gaston and Laura Bradley Warren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Carly Wines, who died in 1978; and eight brothers and sisters. Lucille was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and an avid fan of UNC Tar Heel basketball. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Wines Presnell of Lake Junaluska; two sons, Ray Wines and his wife, Shirley, of Canton and Robert Glenn "Bobby" Wines of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina; two brothers, Clifford Warren of Canton and Steve Warren of Brevard; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeff King, Reverend James Hutchinson, and Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
