Lucy Chapman

January 29, 1950 — April 5, 2004

Clyde-Lucy Carolyn Carver Chapman, age 54, died Monday, April 5, 2004 at the Memorial Mission Hospital Campus.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Mack and Ida McCall Carver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Neil Chapman who died in 1999. She was a member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Clyde Fire Dept. Auxillary.

She is survived by a son, Robert Mack Chapman of Clyde, two sisters, Lillian Sutton of Canton and Dawn Carver of Illinois, two brothers, Larry Vernon Carver of Clyde, Michael Keith Carver of Douglasville, GA and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church in Clyde. Visitation will be at Lucy's home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2004.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Neil Chapman Trust Fund, c/o Clyde Fire Department, P.O. Box 552, Clyde, NC 28721.
