Lucy Clark

Clyde, Lucy Green Clark, age 100, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Adeline Riggs Green. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clark who died in 1984 and a son, Edward Neal Clarke; three sisters, Mary Beck and Telitha and Fannie Green; four brothers, "Sig's" Harrison, Claude, Glenn and Jonas Green. Lucy retired from Wellco with 29 years of service and was the oldest member of James Chapel Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Jewel Kilby and her husband, John, of Sebring, Florida; a son, Earl G. Clark and his wife, Linda, of Waynesville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Billy Ferguson and Reverend Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Crabtree Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
