Lydia Sanford

Canton-Lydia Lorena Sanford, age 82 formerly of Jones Cove Road, Clyde died Monday, November 15, 2004 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the lateThomas Roy and Rachel Cagle Randall. She was the wife of the late John Wilson Sanford who died in 1986 and was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Moody and brother Ervin Randall. Mrs. Sanford was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Louetta and Ross Hooper of Waynesville and Ruth and Corky Reno of Clyde, one son, Woody Sanford and his wife Darlene of Canton, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Woodland Baptist Church. Reverend Alan Davis, Reverend Jimmy Huey and Reverend Billy Lee will officiate. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the church.
