Leicester – Lyndon Eugene Davis, 73, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Charles George VA Medical Center after a brief illness.

Lyndon was a native of Buncombe County and a son of Retty Mae Hall and the late Eugene Mitchell Davis.  He owned and operated a dairy farm which he enjoyed working and maintaining it for future family.   Lyndon received an associate degree at AB-Tech and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Cathey Rymer (Steve) of Leicester and Susan Star (Eddie) of Hendersonville; a brother, Ralph Davis of Asheville; and five nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Bobby Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 876 Newfound Road, Leicester, NC  28748.

The care of Mr. Davis has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton
