Mabel Clark

January 13, 1910 — November 9, 2006

Mabel Lula Clark, age 96, formerly of Coffey Branch Road, died Thursday, November 9, 2006, at Carrington Place Nursing Home. She was a native of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late George William and Hattie Stamey Clark, and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Queen and Robert Clark. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by a niece, Linda Queen, of Canton; and four nephews, Jerry Dean Clark, of Huntersville, Robert W. Clark, of Fort Worth, TX, Harold Queen, of Brevard, and Stanley Clark, of Canton. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2006, at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend W. O. "Bill" Henson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2006, at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to the Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1918 Murray Road, Canton, NC 28716.
