"Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother"
Gastonia, North Carolina, Mabel Sutton Greene, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2017 into the arms of her loving Lord.
She was 102 years old and lived a full, happy life. Mabel was active in the Baptist faith and churches in North Carolina and Washington alongside her late husband, Reverend CH Greene. Missions played a great role in her life and she served in Baptist Women's groups and taught Sunday school for 75 years.
Mabel is survived by her son, Charles H. Greene, and his wife, Martha Womack Greene, of Gastonia, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Grant Kuykendall, of Clearwater, Florida, Charles (Chip) Greene, and his wife, Dawn Bumgardner Greene, of Gastonia and Julie Greene Knudson, and her husband, Ken, of Wellesley, Massachusetts; five great-grandchildren, Patrick and Parker Greene, of Gastonia, Cooper, Reese and Reagan Knudson, of Wellesley, Massachusetts; and many loved nieces and nephews.
