Mabel Keylon

Canton- Mabel Owenby Keylon - age 80 died Saturday, September 09, 2006 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Ernest and Bonnie Cogburn Owenby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Keylon, who died in 1984. Mrs. Keylon retired from Champion International Papers with 42 years of service and was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. She is survived by an aunt, Myrtle C. Vrabel, of Asheville; a nephew, Jim Keylon, of Arizona and many cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with Father Tim McCree officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on the Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
