Mae Ferguson

Waynesville, Ella Mae Price Ferguson, age 77, of 75 Foxwood Drive, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Allie Davis Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Ferguson; two sisters, Ora Lee Ramsey and Millie Lou Coward; and four brothers, Roy, Paul, Robert, and William Price. Mae was a member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church all of her life and loved her church and church family. She and her husband were farmers in the Fines Creek Community, where she loved to cook and work in her flower garden. Mae was a wonderful sister to all and will be missed very much. She is survived by five sisters: twin sister, Faye Price Thompson and her husband, Bill, of Clyde, Jane Price Cordell of Candler, Edith Price Marton and her husband, Mike of Yulee, Florida, Martha Price Presnell and her husband, David, of the Fines Creek Community, and Mary Mann and her husband, Teddy, of Canton; one brother, Joe Price of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore and Reverend Jesse Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service and at other times, the family will be at the residence.
