Mae Frady

Mae Overman Frady, age 80, died on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Bertha Sanford Overman. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Viola, Patsy, and Nora; two brothers, Dennis Overman and an infant brother; and two nieces. Mae worked for over 30 years as a CNA taking care of others. She always put other people's needs above her own and was a generous giving person. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She is survived by a sister, Edith Johnson and her husband, John; four nieces; two nephews; a lot of great nieces and nephews; and a special great niece, Rhonda Putnam. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Morning Star Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Haywood County Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 1275, Canton, NC 28716.
