Maggie Cooper

Maggie Hicks Cooper passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014. She spent her life and career caring for the sick and elderly. She was born on August 11, 1950 to the late David W. and Edith Hicks and was the stepdaughter or Lillan Hicks. Her sister, Phyllis M. Hicks also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, who cared for her during her long illness, Junior Cooper; son, Doug Messer; daughter, Tracy Messer; step-son, Keith Cooper; brother, David Hicks; sisters, Annette Edwards, and Jennie Dixon; stepsisters, Gail Burrell and Ann Roberson; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, August 25 at Glady Baptist Church, Pisgah Highway, Candler with Rev. David Grindstaff presiding. The family will receive friends after the service.
