Maggie L. Valentine, age 92 of Sandy Creek Court, Hendersonville formerly of Asheville Highway in Canton died Friday, June 20, 2003 at her residence.
She was a native of Unicoi County, TN and daughter of the late Sarah Ann Baker. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Anna Belle Bennett and Loretta B. Ashe and two sons, E. J. and Eugene Bennett. She was a member of Fairmont Baptist Church and had retired from Swannanoa Cleaners and she loved quilting and planting and working in her flower bed.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Milburn Valentine, five daughters, Blanche Turner of Winter Springs, FL, Ida Williams of Canton, Vella O'Neal and Ruth Burleson both of Hendersonville and Glenna Hodge of Candler, one half brother, Ishmael Waldrop of Newport, TN and twenty five grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23rd in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Harold Webb officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 2: 00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park
