Hendersonville, Mamie Lee Barmore Cullins, 71, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at CarePartner Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Abbeville, South Carolina, Mamie lived in Hendersonville for nearly 47 years and was considered the "Mother of Lincoln Circle". She was the daughter of the late RS and Margie Jackson Barmore and was also preceded in death by her husband, Delton Cullins, who died in 1973, a son, Delton Cullins Jr. and a brother, RS Barmore, Jr. Mamie was of Baptist faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as cooking and entertaining for her family especially during the holidays. Mamie is survived by four sons, Daryl Cullins of Waynesville, Mark Cullins of Clyde, Clarence Cullins (Darlene) of Franklin and Alan Cullins (Dawn) of Arden; three sisters, Alice Moore (Charles) and Pat Bryant, of Waynesville and Nancy Brewster of Greenville, South Carolina; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Walter Bryson and Reverend William Staley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
