Clyde-Mamie Smith Shuler-88, died Monday, December 2, 2002 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.
She was a daughter of the late John and Lorena Crawford Smith and was the wife of the late Joseph M. Shuler who died in 1993. Mrs. Shuler was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church for 65 years and worked with Vacation Bible School, W.M.U. and served as a G.A. Leader and as a deaconess.
She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Amos and her husband LaRue of Decatur, AL and Carolyn Osborne of Clyde, two sons and their wives, Harry and Brenda Shuler of Richmond, VA and Jack and Barbara Shuler of Clyde, two sisters, Clara Buchanan of Canton and Beulah Saunders of Hopewell, VA, 9 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend James Parham and Reverend W. O. Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
