Marcella Lindsey

Clyde, Marcella French Hill Lindsey, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter the late Clarence C. and Minta Etta Rhymer Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Roy Lindsey; a daughter, Joyce Hannah; two grandchildren, David Cabe and Mary Jenkins; and a brother, Troy Hill. Marcella truly enjoyed to garden and can and was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Bruce Lindsey and his wife, Mary, of Lake Junaluska; one daughter, Carolyn Wyatt and her husband, Glen, of Waynesville; a brother, Paul Hill, of Clyde; a sister, Virginia Towe and her husband, James, of Asheville; a sister-in-law, Daphene Hill of Canton; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren. A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde with Reverend T.M. Gibson officiating. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
