Margaret Boyd

Waynesville, Margaret Brendle Boyd, age 84, of Nursery Lane, passed away quietly at her residence after a long illness. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Jessie Snyder Brendle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Ferguson and Mildred "Tink" Carden and two brothers, Harry and Jim Brendle. Margaret married William "Bill" Boyd and lived in the Jonathan Creek Community for 66 years. She retired from Junaluska Animal Hospital after 22 years service and was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Margaret was very artistic and enjoyed crafts, cooking, and reading. Left to love her with their memories are two daughters, Cathy Boyd and Deborah Satterfield (Clyde); five grandchildren, William Carter, James and Aaron Satterfield, Ty Boyd, and Christina Hansen; and six great grandchildren, Reilly and Mary Rachel Carter, Ryan and Kelci Hansen, and Mary Margaret and Olivia Satterfield. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Thomas Tout officiating.
