Margaret Brockmiller

"Beloved Teacher"

Waynesville, Margaret "Margie" Brockmiller, 74, passed away February. 5, 2018 in Maggie Valley, North Carolina from a rare form of cancer.

Margie received degrees from the University of Tennessee and Florida Atlantic University. An educator for 35 years, she retired in 1998 as Principal of Lincoln Elementary in Palm Beach County, Florida. Her aspiration was to "challenge all teachers and students to do their best job."

She excelled in leadership positions in many civic and social organizations, including, Kiwanis, Haywood Animal Welfare Association, and The Creative Thought Center.

Besides her powerful love of life, she possessed an uncanny ability to reflect love for everyone. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, contagious laughter and generous gifts. She believed in living life fully, knowing that God loves everyone unconditionally.

Surviving is her husband, of 48 years, Richard Brockmiller, brother-in-law, Bob Hamilton, and family of Cleveland, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by parents Elisabeth and Kash Salyer and sister, Alice Hamilton.

Celebration for the life of this amazing woman will be at 7:00 PM on February 15, at the Creative Thought Center, 449 - D Pigeon Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
