Margaret Burnett

Waynesville, Margaret Ann Coulter Burnett, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the J.F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville.

A native of Walton, New York, she was a former resident of Vero Beach, Florida and had resided in Haywood County for the past 18 years. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Hresko Coulter and was also preceded in death by a son, Robert P. Burnett, Jr. Margaret was a Registered Nurse, having received her nursing degree in 1965 from Albany Medical Center School of Nursing in New York.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Robert P. Burnett, Sr. of Waynesville; a daughter, Meredith L. Burnett-Beckett and her husband, Kenneth, of Salida, Colorado; and two sisters, Barbara Devoe of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Donna Valentino of Hartford, Connecticut.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Chris Westmoreland and Reverend Tim McConnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
