Margaret Chambers

Waynesville-Margaret Henson Chambers, age 83, formerly of 52 Norman Street, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Autumn Care. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Laura Davis Reece. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Albert Henson, who died in 1968; two brothers, Robert and Jack Reece; and one sister, Willie Grooms. She worked at Smiths Drug Store in the 50's, Waynesville Pharmacy in the 60's, Hazelwood Pharmacy in the 70's, and at Carroll's Fine Foods during the 80's. She is survived by her second husband of 31 years, Bill Chambers; two sons, A.C. Henson and his wife, Dot, and Albert Henson and his wife, Joanne, both of Waynesville; four sisters, Edna Ruff, Wilsie Green, Betty Ann Birchfield, and Josephine Cunningham, all of Waynesville; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2005 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Reeves and Reverend Kenny Banks officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Reece, Tommy Cooper, Joel Tweed, Charles Davis, Carl Green, and Aaron Messer. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith and Butch Henson and Jerry Yates.
