Margaret Pauline Hoover Clodfelter, 99, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center in Candler.
Margaret was born on Sunday, June 26, 1921 in Albemarle, North Carolina to the late Jasper Andrew and Bertha Louise Eagle Hoover. She owned her own drapery business, and also worked as a Sunday school teacher at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Asheville. Margaret had a great passion for flowers and relished working in her flower garden. She loved her church and family immensely. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James William Clodfelter; a brother, Ernest Hoover; and a sister, Gladys Coman.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Mike Clodfelter, and his wife, Judy, and Steve Clodfelter and his wife, Frankie; four grandchildren, Daisha Clodfelter, Leigh Clodfelter, Rebecca Cash and her husband, Justin, and Grant Floyd and his wife, Nikki; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Bowin.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Chapel of Faith of Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler, N.C. with Pastor Ronnie Owen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund.
