Margaret Gregory

Margaret McCracken Gregory, age 94, formerly of Canton died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at her son's residence in Alva, FL. She was born in Macon County and was a native of Haywood County. She was the daughter of late Silas and Kitty Redman McCracken. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Gregory. She was employed with Haywood County School System. She is survived by a son, James Stephen Gregory and his wife, Joyce, of Alva, FL; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2006, at Long's United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jack James and Reverend Dallas James officiating. Burial will follow at Long's Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Judy Jones, Loralei Inn, 659 Lake Drive, Canton.
