Margaret Hannison

Waynesville-Margaret Marion Hannison, known to her family and friends as Peggy, died at the age of 89 on May 27, 2005 after a brief stay at the Brian Center of Waynesville. A native of New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth "Bessie" Hannison. She was also preceded in death by her only sister, Elizabeth E. Uchtmann. Having never married, she moved from her father's farm in Bordentown, NJ to live with her nephew, Thomas G. Uchtmann, and his wife, Linda S. Uchtmann, of 145 Serenity Mountain Road, in Waynesville just over two years ago. Her only other surviving relative is her niece, Elizabeth Anne Uchtmann, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She is remembered by her family and friends for the way she loved to make people laugh and for her love of animals. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 on Thursday, June 2, 2005 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
