Margaret Aline Ledford (1926 ' 2012)

Margaret Aline Ledford died on May 8, 2012. Mrs. Ledford was born on September 30, 1926 in Bowie County, Texas, the daughter of Roy Lee Rackley and Annie Lee Hardy. She grew up in New Boston, Texas.

Mrs. Ledford married Kenneth Rodgers Ledford on March 16, 1946 in her sister's home in New Boston. The Ledfords returned to Asheville and resided together in Buncombe County for 66 years. She worked for First Union National Bank as a head bookkeeper and teller until her retirement in 1985.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth and two sons, Kenneth Rodgers Ledford, Jr, and Audie Lee Ledford, three grand children, Audra Amanda Ledford Fehr, Kenneth Rodgers Ledford III, and Phillip Brandon Plaster; two great-grand children, Carl and Will Fehr. She is preceded in death by her grandson Derek Samuel Ledford.

A service will be held for Margaret Ledford at Emma United Methodist Church, 59 Adams Hill Road, Asheville, North Carolina on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2:30PM. Condolences may be made online at www. www.moorefh.net .
