Margaret Liner

Waynesville, Margaret Jeanne Schimp Liner, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native of Wichita, Kansas, she had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Grover and Alice Victoria Logan Schimp and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanne Alice Hipps in February 2008. She was a member of Ratcliffe Cove Baptist Church and an active member of the Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William R. Liner; a son, Timothy Ray Liner of Waynesville; and a grandson, Wes Hipps and his wife, Andrea, of Columbia, South Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Putnam officiating. Inurnment will follow at Garret-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
