Margaret Miller

Canton - Margaret Edith Penley Miller, age 90, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at her residence. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Dalser A. and Clesian Henderson Penley. She had lived in New York and Wisconsin most of her life and had resided in Haywood County for the last 25 years. She was a nurse and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing and reading her Bible and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Miller Worley of Canton; a sister, Catherine Edwards of Icard, NC; three grandchildren, Marchetta Rogers, Janet Clark and Bill Worley all of Canton and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
