Old Fort formerly of Clyde – Margaret Spencer Robarge, 91, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Prisma Health Hospital.
Margaret was a native of Haywood County, town of Clyde and was married to Elzear Robarge of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 26, 1948 until his death on May 6, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Spencer and Minnie Penland Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carroll and John Spencer, and her sister, June Spencer Johnson.
She is survived by her three sons, Phil Robarge and his wife Deborah, Barry Robarge and his wife Linda, and Spencer Robarge and his wife Kathy; five grandchildren Stephanie, Christopher, Cindy, Elizabeth and Kathryn; eight great-grandchildren, Davis, Lindsay, Lauren, Spencer, Millie, Sally, Vincent, and Gabby; and two great-great-grandchildren, Lane and Rhett.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with her sons officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clyde Central United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Clyde, NC 28721.
