Margaret Thomason

Margaret Clark Thomason, age 59, of Star Ridge Road died Sunday, December 3, 2006, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Russell and Laura Gosnell Clark. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Thomason and a sister, Patsy Clark. She was a member of Canton Free Will Baptist Church and she loved her church and family. In addition to her husband of 40 years, Lewis Lee Thomason, she is survived by a daughter, Crystal Burgess and her husband, Stephen, of Canton; a son, Derrick Thomason of Clyde; a brother, Melvin Clark of Canton; four sisters, Violet Massey of Waynesville, Christine Mathews and her husband, Harold, of Canton, Betty Reese of Canton, and Judy Pollard and her husband, Steve, of Clayton, NC; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at Canton Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Brian Bird and Reverend Mitchell Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Sunny Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
