Margaret Webb

February 20, 1929 — March 11, 2009

Gastonia - Margaret Gentry Martin Webb, 80, died March 11, 2009 at Courtland Terrace. She was a native of Haywood County and daughter of the late Joe Burnett and Mary Loretta Plemmons Gentry. Margaret retired from Haywood County Hospital where she worked as a Central Supply Technician. She was a member of Lake Junaluska Baptist Church, volunteer with Christian Ministries of Waynesville, and a member of Waynesville Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include her sons, Richard Eugene Martin and wife Kathy of Gastonia, William Guy Martin and wife Sharon of Groton, Conn.; sister, Etta Henn of Fletcher; grandchildren, Rich & Hope Martin, Dee & Jesse Wood, Tyler Martin, and great grandchildren, Andrew Martin and Kacy Wood. Preceded in death by her first husband, Guy V. Martin, and her second husband, Harold Webb. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel, Canton with the Rev. Barry Willett officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Bon-A-Venture Cemetery in Clyde. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Ministries of Waynesville, 150 Branner Ave., Waynesville, NC 28786 or Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
