Margaret Willett

Waynesville, Margaret Wise Willett, age 92, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a former resident of Greenville, South Carolina, but had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Walton Wise Willett, Sr. and Sarah Lewis Coffin Willett and was also preceded in death by twin brothers, Walton and William Willett. Margaret received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1974 from Western Carolina University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was employed in the business office of Pet Dairy and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in the Mountains. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Peggy M. Willett of Asheville; a niece, Leah Brown and her husband, William, of Asheville; and two great-nephews, Cameron and Collin Brown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Grace Episcopal Church in the Mountains with Reverend Arlene Lukas officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to charity of one's choice.
