Margie Allison

Waynesville, Margie Lee Allison, age 86, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Silver Bluff surrounded by her loving family. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Harley Manson and Cora Reeves Jenkins. She was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Willie Claude Allison; a son, Robert Lee Allison; and a daughter and son-in-law, Cora and David Sheehan. Margie comes from a large loving Cove Creek family and was also preceded in death by sisters and a brother, Mary Jenkins Conard, Alma Long, Anna Dee Jenkins, Genevieve Jenkins, and Ed Jenkins. Margie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who was loved by everyone who met her. She was a wonderful story teller who could help the sun to shine on any rainy day. Margie also spent many hours with her flowers, her cooking, and her little dog, Cricket. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Claudette Allison and her partner, Stephanie, of Waynesville; her son, Lewis Lee Allison and his wife, Lisa, of Waynesville; three sisters, Sarah Cunningham, Ruth Ramsey, and Lucy Putnam; grandchildren, Bo, Chris, and Ann Sheehan, Deanne Maule, Allen and Tyler Allison, and Steven Stanford; great-grandchildren, Trey Sheehan, Adam and Megan Hardesty, Kayla and Lacey Meadows, Gabriel Prieto, Landon Allison, and Dawson Ferguson; and great-great grandchildren, Nala Meadows, Allison Vogan; and lastly the loving-caring staff of the 400 Hall of Silver Bluff Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Gary Putnam officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler and Allen Allison, Bo and Chris Sheehan, Steven Stanford, and Randy Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Monday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
