Margie Moore

Margie Putnam Moore, age 76, died on Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Annie Kuykendall Putnam. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Moore, who died in 1974. Margie attended Riverside Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, James Clarence Edward Moore and his wife, Linda, of Hickory; four daughters, Martha Thompson and her husband, Joe, of Hickory, Mary Moore of Canton, Margaret Moore and her husband, Tirindad of Waynesville, and Marilyn Dills of Canton; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
