Marie Pace

Marie Baker Pace, age 90, died Monday, May 28, 2007, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Glenn Brine and Macy Anderson Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Pace who died in 1986; two sisters, Pauline Haney and Louise Overman; and two brothers R. V. "Bud" and Glenn "Corkey" Baker. She was member of West Canton Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Allen and her husband, Gedwin, and Pamela Fox and her husband, Randy, all of Canton; four sons, Jerry Pace and his wife, JoAnn, of Waynesville; Vinson Pace and his wife, Cynthia, of Canton, Ronnie Pace and his wife, Brenda, of Canton, and Kenneth Pace and his wife, Teresa, of Cantonment, FL; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 30, 2007 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Joe Steadman and Reverend Jeff King officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at home of her daughter, Barbara Allen, 44 Martin Road, Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Canton Baptist Church Existing Fund, 75 Lowe Street, Canton, NC 28716.
