Marie Seeber

Maggie Valley, Marie Seeber, age 84 of Shady Rest Drive, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Homestead Hospital. A native of Benton Harbor, Michigan she had lived in West Palm Beach, FL until moving to Haywood County in 1983. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Theressa Janca Barcia and was the wife of the late Richard "Dick" Seeber who died in 2002. She was also preceded in death by two sisters. Mrs. Seeber was employed as a secretary by the United States government and was a member of St. Margarets Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and being with her grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Dennis Seeber and his wife, Linda of Kennesaw, GA, one daughter, Patti Cox and her husband, Raymond of Homestead, FL, one sister, Connie Flatley of CA, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. Margarets Catholic Church with Father John Denny officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the columbarium at St. Margarets.
