Maggie Valley, NC - Marilyn McClimans, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2013 at The Homestead at Medwest, in Clyde, North Carolina after a ten-year battle with oral cancer. She is survived by her husband of over thirty years, Jim McClimans. Marilyn enjoyed a thirty-year career at Eastern Airlines and retired as Director of In-flight Service in Miami. She and Jim had many friends in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, Naples, Florida, and the Houston area. She will be missed by them all. A Memorial Mass Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Maggie Valley with Father John Denny officiating. A graveside service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Forest Park Cemetery in Woodlands, Texas. Memorials may be made to The Homestead at Medwest Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care, 127 Sunset Ridge, Clyde, NC 28721.
