Mario Garcia

Candler, Mario Carizales Garcia, age 73, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.

A native of Phoenix, AZ, Mario was the son of the late Juan Garcia and Josefina Carizales Garcia.

Mario is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Juanita Leal Garcia; three daughters, Leticia Reyes, and her husband, Rafael of Houston, Texas, Maribel Hayes and her husband, Daniel of Fairview, North Carolina , and Elizabeth Garcia of Canton; three sons, Ricardo Garcia of Fletcher, North Carolina, Mario Garcia Jr. of Candler, North Carolina, and Ezequiel Garcia of Canton, North Carolina; two half-sisters, Gloria Zamora of Manvel, Texas, and Sylvia Gill of Dickinson, Texas; two half-brothers, Samuel Zamora of Alvin, Texas, and Jesse Zamora of Harlingen, Texas; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Wells Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
