"Enjoying Heaven"

Waynesville, Marion Junior Taylor, age 88, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at his residence.

A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Nola Keener Taylor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelba Jean Taylor. Junior was owner and operator Clyde Gulf Station and J. & J. Used Cars. He was a faithful member of Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church until sickness prevented him from attending.

Junior is survived by his daughter, Celesa Willett and her husband, Rev. Barry Willett, of Waynesville; son Delane Taylor, of Saluda; brother, J. B. Taylor, of Canton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sweetheart and special friend, Bobbie Jean Kelley, of Waynesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church with Reverend Barry Willett, Reverend David Moore and Reverend Nick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford-Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. At other times the family will be at the home of Reverend Barry and Celesa Willett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church, 154 Sunset Ridge Clyde, NC 28721.
