Marjorie Lenoir

Florence Marjorie Pittman Lenoir, age 86, of the Beaverdam Community, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Banner Elk, NC. A native of Bogalusa, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Maude Hester Bedsole Pittman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lance Lenoir; a son, Stephen Lance Lenoir, Sr.; four sisters, and two brothers. She resided in Miami, Florida, from the age of four until 1978, when she moved to Haywood County and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Lynda L. Lowe and her husband, Ronald, of Canton; one son, Wayne Thomas Lenoir and his wife, Sarah, of Vero Beach, Fl; four grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Flagler Memorial Park, Miami, Florida. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Mission Fund, 39 Robinson Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
