Mark Chambers, 63, passed away on July 18, 2024. He was born in Waynesville, North Carolina, on November 9, 1960, and was the beloved son of Carroll Chambers and Joyce Keever. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Keever, wife, Glendra Chambers, daughter, Lauren Chambers, step-daughter, Kristin Dillard, and several in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was known for his unwavering faith and his passion for sharing the message of Jesus with anyone and everyone he met. His commitment to his faith extended to his service on the media team at Lexington Baptist Church, where he used his skills to support the community and spread the gospel.
Professionally, he dedicated his life to working on industrial boilers, a skill he excelled in and took great pride in. Beyond his professional life, he found joy in gardening, working on cars, and tackling any project he could put his hands on. Mark loved his family and friends deeply. His warm heart and generous spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. His legacy of faith, hard work, and love for nature and animals will continue to inspire and comfort us.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held on July 21, 2024, at 3 PM in the Lexington Baptist Church Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Turner. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service and the family will visit with friends/family following the service. Services are under the direction of Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Riverside Cemetery in Waynesville, NC.
Mark will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
