Mark Conner

Mark Dewayne Conner, age 45, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the son of Enlow and Nina Reece Conner. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Idella and Lawrence Reece and Pearl and Brownlow Conner. Mark loved spending time with his kids and finding bargains at the surrounding flea markets. He enjoyed fishing the lakes and streams of western North Carolina and walking with his girl friend and companion, Kim. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son and daughter, Michael and Tiffany Conner of Canton and their mother, Joanne Conner also of Canton; a sister, Mary Messer and her husband, Kevin, of Canton; a nephew, Jesse Greenarch; and a stepdaughter, Shadowa Mitchell and her mother, Kim Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Rocky Branch Freewill Baptist Church with the Reverend James Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
