"The Love of My Life"

Waynesville, Mark Nathan Davis, age 43, of 458 Boyd Avenue, Waynesville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Memorial Mission Hospital, after a brief illness.

Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Mark Richard Davis. He was the most loving and devoted Christian husband, and father, who always placed God first, a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Canton. Nathan graduated from Haywood Community College, as a certified welder; also graduated through Alliance School of Training in Hendersonville and retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He had much empathy for others and touched the lives of all who knew him.

Nathan was also a musician and mechanic and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He stood for Integrity, honesty, dependability and high moral values.

Nathan is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judith Weatherman Davis; mother, Mylinda Baker, of Murphy; daughter, Hayley Davis, of Waynesville; siblings, Joseph and Kevin Baker, both of Murphy, Joshua Davis, of Florida, and Lindsey Davis, of Asheville; five grandchildren, Kamey Davis, of Waynesville, Gracey, Chloe, Lincoln and Mila Conaway, of Georgia.

Nathan will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
