Mark Hicks

Waynesville, Mark Steven Hicks, age 26, of Polaris Place, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Bud and Julie Mull Hicks. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Lela Mull and paternal grandmother, Virgie O. Hicks. He loved music and drawing. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Lela Hicks, of Waynesville; three uncles, Joe Mull, Hugh Mull (Carrie), and Billy Mull (Sue); an aunt, Lela Franklin; and a niece and two nephews, Tricia and Chase Evans and Michael Stamey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor David Harverson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
