Mark Hoglen

"1933 – 2015" Asheville – Mark Neal Hoglen, age 82, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Herbert John and Ruth Burress Hoglen. He was a member of Enka Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 61. Mark was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Ingle's Food Market for 23 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patsy Earley Hoglen; one daughter, Kathy Hoglen of Candler; one sister, Betty Hoglen Green of Alabama; a half-sister, Judy Best of Clyde; two brothers, Dick Hoglen of Clyde and Earl Hoglen of Battle Creek, Michigan; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A graveside inurnment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Eliada Home for Children, P.O. Box 1708, Asheville, NC 28816.
