Clyde-Mark Rathbone, 72, of 6185 Panther Creek Road, died Friday, January 21, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Dewey and Lorena Hill Rathbone. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Van Noland and Jerry Lynn Noland; two brothers, Johnny and George Rathbone; and two sisters, Lucille Allen and Josephine Rathbone. He was a retired farmer and dairyman and was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Datis Hicks Noland Rathbone; five daughters, Bennie Lance and her husband, Ronald, Judy Noland, Laurie Cagle and her husband, Kerwin, and Mari Allen and her husband, James, all of Waynesville and Linda Rathbone and her husband, Larry of the Fines Creek Community; four sons, Walter Noland and his wife, Deann, and Jeff Noland and his wife, Kim, both of Clyde, John Noland and his wife, Maryann, of Cambridge City, IN, and Ben Justice of Asheville; a sister, Gertie Mae Beasley of Waynesville; a twin brother, Matthew Rathbone and his wife, Ruth, of Wickenburg, AZ; 29 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with Reverend Billy Ferguson, Reverend Tim McConnell, and Reverend Ronald Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Lower Fines Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be James, Danny, Allen, and Shane Rathbone, Brian, Heath, and Travis Noland, Bob Beasley, and Trey Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Lance, Kerwin Cagle, Kelly Rogers, Dean Leopard, Larry Rathbone, Travis Mehaffey, and Todd Noland.
