Waynesville, Mark Edward Woodlief, age 43, of Powderhorn Drive, died on June 1, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Fairfield County, Connecticut, he had resided in Haywood County for the past 15 years. He was the son of Janice Anastasia Woodlief and the late Robert Woodlief. He was employed by Frito-Lay as a Route Saleman . Mark enjoyed gardening, working in his plants, going to races, riding motorcycles and cooking, especially making his own pizzas. He loved his two dogs, Cody, Corby and his cat Leo and was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the medical staff that gave care to Mark during his illness. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of three years, Amy Godfrey Woodlief; one son, Jameson Woodlief, of Spring Hill, FL; one daughter, Jennifer Woodlief, of Waynesville; one brother, Eric J. Woodlief and his wife, Rachel, of Waynesville; two sisters, Barbara A. Klar and her husband, Sean, of Port Angeles, WA and Michelle W. McCord and her husband, Ronald, of Miramar, FL; his in-laws Pete and Catherine Godfrey; brother-in-laws, Tony and his wife, Shari, Pete Jr., and his wife, Ann, and Greg "Peachie"Godfrey and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Sam McLamb officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and at other times at the residence.
