Marsha Mascarenas

Marsha Mascarenas, age 58, of Sandpiper Street died Friday, October 17, 2008, at Haywood Regional Hospital. A native of Macon County, she had lived in Haywood County since 1975 and was the daughter of Audrey Stewman Dills and the late Ernest Dills. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ignacio "Nano" Mascarenas; a daughter, Carmon Payne and her husband, Eric, of Canton; a son Michael Mascarenas and his wife, Tracy, of Clyde; two sisters, Myra Higdon of Franklin and Keila Rogers of Clyde; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Eutimio Mascarenas officiating. Burial will follow at Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
