Martha Cochran

Canton - Martha Free Cochran, age 59, of Silver Bluff Drive died Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of Edward Marshall and Nancy Shoaf Free. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was active in the Women's Missionary Union, the choir and served as senior adult director. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, Mike Cochran of Canton; a son, Cameron Cochran and his wife, Andrea of Balsam; a sister, Zachary Mason of Bethel; a brother, Michael Free of Bethel and a granddaughter, Anna Cochran. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Perry Brindley and Reverend J. D. Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Mt.
