Martha Franklin

April 4, 1937 — July 20, 2014

Canton, Martha Ann Williams Franklin, age 77, of 21 Grand Drive, passed away on July 20, 2014 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin and Mary West Revis. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Williams, who died in 1982 and second husband, Doyce Franklin, who died in 2007. Martha enjoyed reading and cooking and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Martha is survived by two daughters, Debbie Burleson and her husband, Harvey, of Asheville and Pamela Burress and her husband, James, of the Cruso community; two sons, Dexter Williams and his wife, Darcy, and Randy Williams and his wife, Sharon, all of Asheville; two sisters, Edith Thomas of Weaverville and Becky McLaughlin of Fairview; two brothers, Doyce Revis of West Asheville and Van Revis of Canton; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery on Leicester Highway with Reverend Jimmy Burress officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. prior to services at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
