"Cherished Mother & Grandmother" Clyde – Martha Yeomans Graves, 75, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Aston Park Healthcare. A native of Hamilton County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Myers Francis and Wilma Cox Yeomans. To know Martha was to love her. She was a very professional yet kind and selfless woman who treated others with compassion and respect. Martha was purpose-driven throughout her life, achieving great success in her career in management with McAlpins, later known as Dillard's Department Stores. After moving to Haywood County in 2001, she enjoyed her employment at the Biltmore Estate in retail management where she made many special friends. Martha was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her "one-liners" that made so many laugh and smile. Her family, most especially her daughters and granddaughters, were the apple of her eye, and she cared for them all with a selfless love. Martha attended All Souls Episcopal Cathedral and Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Graves and husband, Chip Watkins, of Asheville, and Jennifer Graves Belham and husband, John, of Clyde; an adopted son, Jay King and wife, Laura, of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Elaine Brown and husband, Charlie, of Naperville, Illinois; one brother Tim Yeomans and wife, Billie, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Graves Belham and Cathryn Clare Belham; and many nieces and nephews.
