Martha Hook

Hendersonville- Martha Jane Fletcher Van Hook died Monday, May 16, 2005 at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. She was a native of Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late Ambrose J. and Nova Norris Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Samuel Van Hook who died in 1973. She is survived by two sons; Neal L. Van Hook and his wife Elaine of Greenville, SC and Noel Van Hook and his wife Ann of Chula Vista, CA; three daughters, Barbara McGhee of Asheville, Jo Van Hook Swanger and her husband Joe of Virginia Beach, VA and Becky Van Hook Varnadore and her husband Tony of Hendersonville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Enka with the Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elizabeth House, 581 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
